Midwest Physical Therapy and Sports Center is an outpatient orthopedic private practice that specializes in custom orthotics, aquatic physical therapy, sports rehabilitation, pre- and post-surgical, pre- and post-trauma, spine and back care and custom hand splinting. Rene Tewes, physical therapist and owner of Midwest PT, and her 31 employees practice in a relaxed and encouraging environment and are committed to helping patients reach their goals.
Though Midwest PT has continued to grow and prosper, the owner, Renee Tewes desired to improve her business management and leadership skills to help her take Midwest PT to the next level.
Though Renee had worked as a physical therapist since 1988, she faced a whole new set of obstacles when it came to running her own business. She realized that by trying to be both a therapist and an owner/manager, she was simply “wearing too many hats.” Renee found herself challenged with things such as work delegation, staff communication and goal setting.
Renee agrees that PT school taught many great things, but didn’t prepare her very well for running a clinic. Renee knew she could use some assistance in that area, but wasn’t quite sure where to turn. However, through an LR associate, she was soon introduced to Leadership Resources where she enrolled in a custom personal development process.
