Last year, the Lincoln Plating polishing department reduced turnover by more than half and increased production by as much as 20%. The head of the department, Jens Anderson, will tell you he’s not surprised. He expected as much after adopting the Leadership Resources process.
In the beginning, the LR process helped Jens improve his own personal productivity. Then, when his team leaders began learning about the process, and when the engineers did, too, the real benefits became obvious.
“We’re all on the same page now,” Jens explains. “We all work with the same concepts, and it helped us become even better at what we’re doing as a company.” That’s saying a lot. Lincoln Plating already has a reputation for profitable production.
One of Jens’ leads, Dustin Young, claims as strong a drive to get things done as Jens does, which is one of the things that has made the department successful. “It’s good to have the drive,” Dustin says, “but if you don’t use it right, you’ll miss the boat.”
